Those guiding principles helped us develop our groundbreaking shower chairs, transfer benches and bathroom benches.

In most homes, there’s no roll-in shower or tub. This necessitated the development of conventional elder shower chairs and transfer benches, which aim to make it easier to get out of a wheelchair and into a shower stall or tub. The issue with some of these is that many of them are immobile and require the user (or a helper) to shift the body weight and reposition the legs.
A more advanced iteration is the “sliding transfer bench” with a seat mounted on sliding rails that makes it much easier for users and aides or assistants to get into and out of a tub or shower. These sliding shower benches are especially beneficial for individuals with sensitive skin.

Doing so gives us the ability to scope out their bathroom layout in real time, taking measurements where necessary and even mocking up shower chairs to make sure they fit, improving customer satisfaction.
We also make our customers’ lives easier by designing products that work for them. For instance, the sliding transfer benches in our ShowerGlyde collection are sensitive enough to move with one finger and lock into place, making them useful for using the toilet (they can be adjusted so that the seat will stop right over the toilet) as well as for entering the shower. The SG3 even swivels.
In the event an extended size is needed in order to accommodate unique bathroom layouts, we offer the SG2 transfer bench which comes standard with longer rails.
This sentence refers to an SB3T but in the next paragraph you're showing and describing an SB2T.
The SB2T is not a roll-in shower chair.However, it can also be connected to the rails and used as a slide-in transfer bench, too. The ShowerBuddy SB2T is actually the only shower bench on the market that can tilt backwards and allow you to transfer the whole chair and footrest into the shower/tub.
We also have lightweight, compact options like the ShowerBuddy SB7, which weighs only 17 pounds, is made of high-strength aluminum, and which is foldable, and height adjustable for three different seat heights.
It’s also exceptionally easy to take apart for transportation purposes. It even comes with an optional travel case, making it easier to take on the go. This design solves many of the modularity/adjustability problems of PVC-built alternative elder shower chairs.
Innovations like these only represent a small snapshot into how we are continuously refining the designs of our shower chairs and transfer benches to make them not only more affordable for users, but more practical than alternatives like the basic 3-in-1 commodes that are covered by MediCare.
