ShowerBuddy SB2 TubBuddy (Open box)
The Open Box SB2 comes with the same warranty as a new unit. The unit may not come in the original packaging. ALL OPEN BOXES ARE FINAL SALE.
ShowerBuddy TubBuddy SB2 transfer system will turn your existing bathtub into an accessible bathroom that allows you to enjoy showering again without the excessive cost, delay, and stress of a full bathroom remodel. The TubBuddy SB2 alleviates heavy lifting and multiple transfers. This chair is separated into three sections; rolling base (shower chair), bridge, and tub base. The rolling base rolls around the house like a wheelchair allowing patients to transfer and then roll right over most toilets easily. Once completed with toileting the rolling base connects to a bridge and onto the tub base allowing the chair to slide over the tub. Once over the tub, the bridge disconnects allowing the curtain to close. SB also offers the ShowerGlyde sliding transfer bench, which can be used independently without a caregiver.
The SB2 Shower TubBuddy weighs 59.5lbs with a weight capacity of 350lbs.
SB and Israel provided a great deal of help in solving the bathing needs of my wife. Israel was extremely patient and supportive of my finding a great solution for us.
This shower chair works well and we are happy with it for the most part. The seat is however is uncomfortable and the fold down foot rest is also uncomfortable. It should be longer so your toes do not hang off the end. it also needs padding on the foot rest.
Works well, but very expensive for what you are getting.
This is a great piece of equipment. Definitely worth the money and the best part is we don't need to remodel our shower. After months of sponge baths, this is going to change Mary's life.
It took a while to put the Showerbuddy together. But once it was, it worked very well. I liked the fact that the chair can be rotated once it's locked into the shower. Another good feature is the bridge can be moved out of the way until the chair is ready to come out. Makes washing the patient easier. BUT remember to remove the collection bucket that's made for urine and/or feces. If you don't, it fills up with water that spills all over the place!
