I am very satisfied with the Showerbuddy except for one very important component on the unit.
The cord from the chair used to connect to the handset is very short and the way the unit has to sit in my tub the cord is on wall side, I have limited arm use and can only reach it with one arm. I am able (not easily) to pull and disconnect but cannot reconnect the handset with one hand. I live alone, so after it charges, I have to wait until someone comes over to have them reconnect for me. This means I cannot always bath when I want to...thus making this unit less than desirable for me.
I have contacted the seller twice to see if there could be a cord ( maybe 12 inches long) with appropriate connectors made to go between chair and handset so that I could use both hands to disconnect and reconnect handset. They said they would contact manufacturer and let me know...they have never gotten back to me.
I would really appreciate hearing from the manufacturer as to a solution.

We purchased this to help get my wife up off the floor in the event that she should fall. She fell once and it took us 20 minutes to get her up. While searching for a solution, I read reviews of this bathtub lift. It sounded like other were using if for the same purpose so I thought I would give it a try. It arrived when promised and was exactly as described. I put it down on the floor to give it a try. It worked just as I expected it would. It is a bit unsteady side-to-side when sitting on a solid floor but seems like it can surely do the job. I may try adding some side-to-side stabilization to it. Regardless, I feel confident that we will be able to get her up without a 911 call.

Getting out and into the tub became a scary and dangerous thing for me. I am thrilled with this tub chair. Lifts me up no problem. It lifts to a very high position too. If you love taking baths and want a safer solution, buy it. It is well worth it.
