Self propel shower chair

I wished the actual frame was a bit lower to be able to reach for stuff in the floor, the cushion moves a lot so makes me nervous sometimes. Overall a good steady chair, better than the one I used to have. Hopefully last longer too.

Excellent quality

This chair wasn't too hard to put together. The instruction were clear and I did it very quickly. It is well made, rolls very well and is super sturdy. Very happy with this as a bath chair.

Great chair my wife loves it. best chair on the market for a roll in shower and fits right over the toilet.

Too high, brakes are unreliable

This seat on this chair is made too tall (high) to comfortably transfer to from a standard size wheelchair or bed. The seat is 24” high, and a standard wheelchair (average) seat height is 18”. It is very hard on the shoulders to pull oneself up and it makes the transfer dangerous so that I can’t transfer independently. The brakes loosen over time and are cheap and flimsy design and construction and break easily.

Pricey but worth every penny

I purchased this chair while my husband was still hospitalized for a very unexpected but extensive back surgery. The severity left him unable to stand and I needed a chair that was not only comfortable for him but easy for me to maneuver.

Being a nurse, I knew what I was looking for and the only chair that came close was this one.

The only thing I would caution about is to be certain that the brakes are engaged and the front casters are locked when the occupant is getting in/out of this chair. That probably goes without saying but with only the brakes engaged (like wheelchair brakes) there is slight movement because of the casters. I tested this out before he came home so I would be familiar with the product.

We did take down one side of our glass shower door (and put up a curtain) to make it easier to get in /out of the shower. I need to back it in and that is a bit tricky since the casters are on the front - I have to pull a bit to the side to get it positioned properly but it isn't overly strenuous (I am 66 and have no problem doing this).
This will likely be along term product in our house and I expect it to last for a long time. The quality is great.
